A late 19th-century pedestal desk in mahogany, English, circa 1880. The rectangular top is fitted with a tooled leather writing surface divided into three panels, bordered by mahogany crossbanding. Nine drawers retain their original brass swan-neck handles. Raised on twin pedestals with plinth bases, the desk separates into three sections for transport. A traditional example of Victorian craftsmanship suited to both home office and study.
