A sculptural Pelican chair upholstered in natural sheepskin, designed by Finn Juhl and first introduced in 1940. The form is defined by its enveloping, winged backrest and generously rounded seat, conceived to support the body without reliance on straight lines. Raised on short, outward-angled wooden legs, the chair reflects Juhl’s break from strict functionalism in favour of organic modernism. The sheepskin enhances the tactile quality and emphasises the chair’s soft, continuous silhouette.
